Sales of hearing aids are back on the growth track following the pandemic’s plunge in activity. In 2021, the world’s biggest hearing aid manufacturers sold 18.79 million units in total, which is an increase of 33% compared to the preceding year, according to the European Hearing Instrument Manufacturers Association (EHIMA).

”Last year’s growth shows the undiminished demand for high quality hearing solutions. Even when close contact in audiology shops was temporarily limited due to the pandemic, product innovation continued and the dedication of all employees working for the EHIMA companies remained exceptionally high,” says Eric Bernard, president of EHIMA and chief executive of WSA, in statement.
