HERA calls for participation from life science industry

A new advisory forum under the EU’s health emergency preparedness authority, HERA, is opening the doors for industry players to have a voice in the union’s future health crisis management. The proposal is a step in the right direction, say one industry association and Bavarian Nordic.

BRUSSELS – When the EU has to monitor critical medical supplies, like vaccines, in the future, it will need the help of life science firms operating in the region, according to a Wednesday news release from the European Commission.

The Commission is officially calling for industry stakeholders to join one of two expert groups of Europe’s new Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA).
