Ambu recalls single-use product one year after launch

A number of complaints concerning an Ambu product which was approved in the US and EU last year have led the medtech firm to withdraw the product from the market and ask customers to destroy any stock of the product they have.

After just one year on the market, Ambu has been forced to recall its Vivasight 2 DLT product.

Complaints concerning the single-use product, which is a tube and camera to monitor lung ventilation, have generated uncertainty about the safety of the device.
