
On Thursday, Ambu’s board of directors announced in a press release that Britt Meelby Jensen would take over the chief executive position at the medtech firm, starting today and leaving the former CEO, Juan Jose Gonzalez, without a job.
Gonzalez’s three-year stint at Ambu was characterized by disappointing financial results and seven downgrades, which have eaten away at investors’ trust in the man who took over from Lars Marcher in 2019, who was also fired from the position after more than ten years at the top.
