No legal barrier to foundation employing fired Demant boss — just ethical considerations

The William Demant Foundation has raised eyebrows by hiring a former CEO fired from Demant, but there are virtually no legal rules for the large corporate foundations, several lawyers highlight.

Even though Demant fired Arne Boye Nielsen as CEO from the hearing company’s executive board last year for creating a ”psychologically unsafe environment”, the owner, the William Demant Foundation, can continue to use him in several board positions without legal problems.
