Demant identifies cochlear implant fault, plans market return in late 2022

Hearing aid giant Demant has got to the bottom of the fault which has caused problems with one of its cochlear implant products, and expects to resume sales in the third quarter of 2022.

According to Demant, the problems with its Neuro Zti cochlear implants are close to being resolved.

The company announced that it has found the cause of the problems which caused it to stop sales and recall just under 4,000 implants, some of which were already implanted in patients, in October.
