Bavarian Nordic eyes European monkeypox approval for smallpox vaccine

Bavarian Nordic’s smallpox vaccine, Jynneos, hasn’t yet been approved for monkeypox in Europe, a fact that hasn’t stopped countries there from lining up to secure vaccine supplies in light of the recent outbreak.

Danish biotech firm Bavarian Nordic is the only firm in the world that has an approved vaccine for monkeypox – it just so happens not to be in Europe.
