Audientes' Q1 report, which was released on Thursday, shows that it has spent the period upgrading its organization and developing its self-fitting hearing aid so it can be released in Q3.

The company will focus on obtaining approval from the FDA, which is currently reforming the rules for over the counter (OTC) hearing aid sales in the US, which would allow people with mild to moderate hearing loss to buy the devices without consulting a doctor.
