Olympus' endoscope sales retreat

Covid-19-postponed doctors' examinations have led to decreased endoscope sales for Japanese manufacturing firm Olympus.

Japanese firm Olympus has had decreased endoscope sales in the first nine months of its staggered fiscal year 2021/2021, according to the firm's fiscal report.

Its endoscope business leg dropped 6.5 percent to JPY 294.49m (USD 2.8m), whereas the operating result took a 16.2-percent dive to JPY 76.75m.
