EMA forming group to monitor medical device shortages

With great powers come great responsibilities, and the EMA is now establishing a body to help monitor and mitigate critical shortages of medical equipment during crises.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) will establish the Medical Devices Shortages Steering Group (MDSSG) to tackle ”additional responsibilities regarding the monitoring and mitigation of shortages of critical medical devices during public health emergencies.”
