EMA says antibiotic shortage situation isn't "major event"

Although labeling the current shortage landscape thus would allow the drug regulator more freedom in alleviating issues, it has decided against it – defying calls from patient groups.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has not decided to label the current shortage of some antibiotics a ”major event,” reports news media Reuters.
