
A new trial at hospitals in Slagelse, Næstved and Ringsted will explore the possibility of reusing clothing, sheets and pillowcases that were initially designed for single-use purposes at hospitals, reports Danish national broadcaster DR.
”Previously, these materials have been incinerated, as it has been seen as a possible source of infection. But now, we and probably everyone else are more interested in testing new solutions in our common journey towards a more sustainable world,” says Eva Tansem Andersen, head of sustainability at Abena.
