After historic acquisition, Coloplast CEO takes stock: "Building up capacity will take a while"

The recent USD 2.5bn acquisition of Atos Medical has been in the works for many years, says President and CEO at Coloplast Kristian Villumsen. With its biggest acquisition ever now behind it, Coloplast is now putting a damper on its acquisition hunt.

Now that Coloplast has announced its acquisition of Swedish firm Atcos Medical, there are no more big company purchases in the works at the medtech firm.

With a price tag of DKK 16bn (USD 2.5bn), the purchase of Atcos is the biggest in Coloplast's history, and the company will now focus on alligning the two organizations.
