GE acquires BK Medical for USD 1.45bn

General Electric has bought BK Medical, which produces ultrasound equipment, from Atlas Capital Partners.

The acquisition of BK Medical is happening as General Electric (GE) wants to strengthen its scanning business, which was its most profitable area during the coronavirus pandemic, Bloomberg News reports.

BK Medical, which has 650 employees and is headquartered in Boston and Copenhagen, produces ultrasound apparatus.
