Coloplast sees potential in Russia

For 20 years, Coloplast has operated on the Russian market, which is highly competitive, not least due to local companies getting special treatment from authorities, according to country manager.

Russia imports 75 percent of all medical equipment, which Coloplast highly benefits from, according to a recent newsletter from the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI).

The Danish medtech company has been active on the Russian market for 20 years, although it is disadvantaged by the fact that it has no production in the country, since Russian authorities give preferential treatment to local enterprises, which Coloplast General Director and Country Manager, Rus cluster, Dmitry Tsarapkin tells DI.
