Coloplast recalls urology product

Five hospitals have reported that urethral dilation products have been incorrectly packaged, leading medtech firm Coloplast to recall them.

It might not be visible to the untrained eye, but the Coloplast product Philips Bougies female metric thread which treats urethral stricture (narrowing of the urethra, ed.-) comes in varying sizes.

However, Coloplast has accidentally swapped two batches in sizes ch20 and ch16. This has caused inconsistencies between labels on packages and the products they contain.
