GN Hearing CEO: Bose's exit spotlights complexity of hearing aid market

US-based Bose was first to achieve a US approval for a direct-to-consumer hearing aid. Now, as they’re withdrawing from the market, there’ll be one less competitor to worry about, says GN Hearing CEO Gitte Aabo.

Yesterday, rumors that audio firm Bose was pulling the plug on its healthcare division, which markets the firm’s hearing aids, were seemingly confirmed by The Boston Globe, citing former and outgoing employees.
