Demant's Q1 results met with neutral response from analyst

Tuesday’s quarterly report from Demant contains both some good and some bad elements, leaving readers with an overall neutral impression, according to a senior analyst at Sydbank.

Demant was off to a good start to the year regarding its main business, Hearing Healthcare, which focuses on wholesale and retail sales of hearing aids, as well as sales of diagnostic tools.

Nevertheless, headset firm Epos, which appears under Demant’s Communications division in its accounting books, was met with a stronger headwind in Q1 than first presumed. On top of this, disturbances in Demant’s supply chain have become so big that the firm no longer thinks this year’s market growth can reach the previously estimated level.
