Biontech plans to examine mRNA technology for malaria vaccines

Pharmaceutical company Biontech plans to create a vaccine for malaria based on the same mRNA technology as the firm's vaccine for covid-19, which the German company developed in collaboration with Pfizer.

German firm Biontech, which in collaboration with Pfizer has developed one of the most widely-used coronavirus vaccines, now plans to create a vaccine against malaria.

Bloomberg News reports that this will be the company's first solo project.
