Following recalls and delays, Novo Nordisk kicks off smart insulin pen launch

After two years' delay, Novo Nordisk launches two smart reusable insulin pens. The launch kicks off in Sweden, but will roll out in more countries before long.

After a two year delay, Novo Nordisk has started launching the company's smart reusable insulin pens Novopen 6 and Novopen Echo Plus.

The first launch will revolve around Sweden, but will soon be expanded to Western Europe and many other countries in due course, Novo Nordisk Corporate Vice President, Commercial Innovation (Digital Health, Commercial Digital Lighthouse, Patient Support Solutions and Device Marketing) Anders Dyhr Toft tells MedWatch.
