Novo Nordisk chairman on top wages: "It's a hard balance to strike"

In 2020, Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen was the highest-paid top executive among Denmark's elite companies. It's hard to strike the right balance, says the Novo Nordisk Chair.

In the US, some have argued that Novo Nordisk President & CEO Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen is not paid enough.

In Denmark, it caused headlines when he turned out to be the best-paid CEO out of this country's stocklisted companies with an annual salary at DKK 56.5m (USD 9.1m).
