Novo Nordisk has Thursday been acquitted of charges of age discrimination in US federal court, reports Bloomberg News.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed the lawsuit against the pharmaceutical giant, claiming that the company had denied a 62-year-old obesity care specialist a lateral transfer, despite the fact that she had a more than 50 miles distance to and from work.

The acquittal took place on Thursday in the US federal court in the district of New Jersey.
