WHO: Europe is far from safe from covid-19

Although vaccination rates are increasing in Europe, they are not enough to keep the continent secure from new covid waves, according to the WHO's Hans Kluge, who counsels caution.

The World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge states that covid-19 vaccines in Europe are a far cry from being able to prevent new surges in infections.

"In terms of the covid-19 situation in Europe, we are far from out of danger," says Kluge, counselling caution.
