US authorities investigate new death following J&J vaccination

The CDC in the US is currently looking into one death in the state of Oregon and one hospitalization of a patient in Texas as both individuals had recently received Johnson & Johnson's vaccine.

One new death and one hospitalization are now being investigated in the US for possible links to the coronavirus vaccine developed by Johnson & Johnson.

The news agency Reuters reports that both individuals had received the vaccine, and the incidents occured on the same day that advisors at the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) convened to discuss whether it would be safe to reintroduce the pharmaceutical giant's vaccines.
