Politicians want their hands on pharmaceutical companies' vaccine patents

We should remove patents from companies behind Covid-19 vaccines, say members of EU Parliament. The EU Commission is listening.

Delayed vaccine deliveries are so serious that the EU is taking steps to implement stricter measures for companies. One way forward is by forcing vaccine companies to release patents, so the vaccines can be manufactured elsewhere, according to several members of the European Parliament, where frustration with the companies is mounting.
