Cheap Wegovy knock-offs hawked by med spas draw Novo legal action

Five US companies have been sued by the Danish drugmaker for trademark infringement, false advertising and unfair competition for using the Wegovy name.

Novo Nordisk A/S is suing med spas and weight-loss clinics in Florida, New York, Texas and Tennessee that market cheaper compounded versions of Novo’s weight-loss drug Wegovy.
