EU countries to boost research with cautious transparency

It may be necessary to consider ethical challenges when collaborating on research, a minister says.

EU countries should share with eachother – but they have to be careful about sharing too much, when it comes to research and innovation, ministers from member countries concluded at a meeting in Brussels on Tuesday.

The ministers agree that the EU's global role within research and innovation should be strengthened, which they believe requires a focus on transparency – but not too much of it.
