In May, Demant achieved its highest ever market share in the Veterans Affairs (VA) sales channel.

This follows the launch of the top product Oticon Intent, which was made available on May 1.

And it has paid off. In that month, Demant’s market share in terms of share of total sales grew to 20.3 percent from 16.6 percent in April.

This is the highest share Demant has ever had.

Rival company GN also launched new technology in VA in May in the form of Resound Nexia.

As a result, GN lifted its VA market share to 11.4 percent in May from 8.6 percent in April.

VA has two annual launch windows - one on May 1 and one on November 1.

It is usually a requirement from the channel’s audiologists that a product has been on the market for three months before it can be considered for VA.
