Private equity fund EQT the owner families are looking for a new co-owner of hearing aid manufacturer WSA, which is struggling with a debt of more than DKK 25bn (USD), reports Insidebusiness.

After the original plan of a quick IPO after the merger between Widex and Sivantos in 2019 was derailed, EQT together with the owner families, Tøpholm and Westerman, have had to inject additional capital in order to improve liquidity.

According to Insidebusiness, JP Morgan has been hired to look for an investor to buy around 10% of the company. Such a sale could potentially bring between DKK 4 and 5bn into WSA, Insidebusiness writes.
