US senators propose bill to force finalization of OTC rules

Two US senators are, by all appearances, done waiting on the FDA to finalize rules pertaining to the upcoming over-the-counter hearing aid sales channel, and are introducing legislation to impose a 30-day deadline for the authority.

Republican Senator Chuck Grassley and Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren have introduced a bill that would increase the pressure on the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to issue its final rule for the upcoming over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aid sales channel in the US, reports industry media Hearing Review.
