GN Hearing CEO: OTC will increase price transparency on the hearing market

Consumers in the US will soon be able to buy a hearing aid over the counter. According to GN Hearing CEO, Gitte Aabo, the market change will hopefully allow people to better understand what they’re paying for, also when it comes to traditional hearing aids that include an audiologist visit.

According to Gitte Aabo, CEO of GN Hearing, the upcoming sales channel for over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids will give users more options to make the right choice when looking for a hearing loss solutions.

The existence of OTC hearing aid sales will create more transparency when it comes to what a user actually pays for the devices themselves, and what is added on top in the shape of the extra service offered by audiologists.
