
It is not only hearing aid group GN Store Nord that has decided to suspend all trading with Russia following its invasion of Ukraine.
The company competitor Demant, the world’s second-biggest hearing aid manufacturer, now joins the ranks, the company’s vice president of corporate communication, Trine Kromann-Mikkelsen, tells MedWatch.
”Based on sanctions coming into force from yesterday (Tuesday, ed.), we have now halted trades with Russia, Belarus and the regions in Ukraine, Donetsk and Luhansk,” she writes in an email.
Demant’s sales in Russia occur through distributors, but the company still has a small team of four people in the country, to make registrations and deal with distributors and so on.
