Apple investigating Airpods as hearing health solution

According to sources familiar with Apple plans, the tech titan is looking into ways that its Airpods product can be used as a solution for hearing health, reports the Wall Street Journal.

GN and Demant are losing altitude as rumors spread: Apple is looking into how its earbud accessory, Airpods, can be used as a hearing health device, for example by enhancing hearing. The rumors are reported by the Wall Street Journal, referring to sources it says are familiar with Apple's plans.

According to the Wall Street journal, it is not yet apparent if Apple wants to develop new, specific hearing device functions for the Airpods, or if the tech giant is seeking to brand the earbuds' existing hearing enchancing features as hearing aid functions.
