FDA plans new sales channel for hearing aids in autumn

In the US, the possibility of buying over-the-counter hearing aids has been postponed because of Covid-19, but the US health authorities inform MedWatch that they will be able to present the guidelines of the so-called OTC sale in autumn.

These days, big and small hearing aid manufacturers have had fraught nerves.

The Food and Drug Administration, the federal US health authority, will soon announce the guidelines that will determine how the sales of over-the-counter hearing aids will play out.
