Far fewer type 2 diabetics are dying of cardiovascular disease

According to a study, cancer is now the leading cause of death for type 2 diabetics in Denmark, as it is for the general population.

Over the course of 20 years, the leading cause of death among people with type 2 diabetes in Denmark has changed from cardiovascular disease to cancer, researchers from Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus have concluded in a new study based on Danish registries.
