CHMP recommends approval of Eli Lilly's obesity drug

Eli Lilly’s Mounjaro is recommended for use in Europe for the treatment of obesity. The recommendation comes the same week the drug was approved for obesity treatment in the US.

The European Medicines Agency’s (EMA) Scientific Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) recommends that Eli Lilly’s Mounjaro be extended to treat obesity in patients with high BMI.
