Bavarian Nordic to supply US with additional 2.5 million monkeypox vaccines

The deliveries will start in the fourth quarter of 2022 and continue into 2023, when the majority of the doses will be provided.

The US government has ordered a further 2.5 million doses of Bavarian Nordic’s monkeypox vaccine Jynneos, the company revealed on Friday.

“The monkeypox outbreak continues to develop at an unprecedented rate, and we applaud the US government’s decision to prioritize the supply of our vaccine to enable broader access for those at risk of infections,” says Paul Chaplin, CEO and President of Bavarian Nordic says in a press release.
