Drug sales outweighed pandemic impact on Janssen Denmark's 2021 report

Despite facing several problems throughout 2021, including a national nurse strike, Janssen’s subsidiary in Denmark managed to book its best ever year.

2021 was a record year for Janssen’s division in Denmark, whose revenue and bottom line reached unprecedented heights, according to the firm’s financial report for the full year.

Records were broken despite Janssen facing significant headwinds – particularly sales of the firm’s medical devices were impacted by a plunge in activity in hospitals across Denmark due to a pivot to patients with Covid-19, in addition to a national strike by nurses during the summer months.
