Novo Nordisk joins top ten of most profitable pharma firms worldwide

The Danish pharmaceutical firm has entered the top ten of the most profitable firms in the industry in 2021. Competitors Eli Lilly and Sanofi didn’t make the cut, while Novartis is in the front of the pack.

With USD 24bn on the bottom line in 2021, Swiss Novartis lands the top spot as the most profitable pharmaceutical firm in the world, according to a ranking of the top ten pharma firms based on net incomes made by Industry media Fierce Pharma.
