US Senate confirms Biden's FDA candidate

Former FDA commissioner Robert Califf has been approved by the Senate to return to leading the agency.

Robert Califf, an American cardiologist, has been chosen as the next head of the health authority in the US, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

In a vote, the Senate has confirmed President Joe Biden’s nominee for the position, as reported by several US media including CNBC.
