On social media Twitter, Denmark has been made an example of how bad the situation can get when countries lift restrictions preemptively, as onlookers point to increasing Covid-19 infections and mortality rates.

In response, the Danish State Serum Institute (SSI) has been hard at work explaining just how these figures ought to be read, as reported by Danish media Politiken.
