Novo Nordisk to expand insulin pen recycling campaign to more countries

In England, Denmark, Scotland and Brazil, Novo Nordisk has been conducting pilot programs where users return their used insulin pens to the company for recycling. Other countries are expected to be added to the list soon.

Novo Nordisk has a 2022 resolution to expand its insulin pen recycling campaign to more countries, the company reports in a press release on Tuesday morning.

Pilot programs have already started in England, Scotland, Brazil and Denmark. In the latter country, Novo Nordisk conducted a pilot program in three municipalities, and the campaign will now be taken to a national level, enabling all Danish users of Novo Nordisk’s insulin to return their used pens for recycling.
