CHMP recommends approval of Pfizer's Covid-19 pill
Pfizer has received a positive opinion on its tablet treatment for Covid-19, Paxlovid, from the EMA’s expert committee. The pill was already in use in some countries, as the EMA had previously issued advice for emergency use of the unauthorized drug.

The European Medicines Agency’s (EMA) expert committee, the CHMP, has recommended that Pfizer’s Paxlovid, a treatment for Covid-19, be approved in the EU.
