Bavarian Nordic's spending on factory expansion exceeds USD 150m

Past years' expansion of Bavarian Nordic's Danish factory has resulted in expenses "north of USD 151.6m", the firm's COO tells Danish media Børsen.

During the past few years, Bavarian Nordic has been expanding its factory located on Zealand, Denmark. The efforts will double the firm's production area next year compared to 2018, Chief Operating Officer at Bavarian Nordic Henrik Birk tells Danish business daily Børsen.

"The expansion increases our total production capacity, enabling us to produce several different vaccines at the same time. The expansion's latest investment in construction and equipment is north of DKK 1bn (USD 151.6m)," he reports.
