
Lundbeck's decision to find a new head of research and development is part of a major reorganization of the company's R&D unit, which has been going on for a while, the Danish pharmaceutical firm's Executive Vice President & Head of Research & Development Johan Luthman tells MedWatch.
Luthman gave up several names for the recruitment group himself, since he has worked in neuroscience for many years. However, he did not actually know the candidate whom Lundbeck ended up hiring, Tarek Samad, beforehand.
