Hearing industry challenger applauds Biden's price battle

The Danish CEO of US firm Eargo is very satisfied that President Joe Biden launched an attack on the expensive products of its well-established competitors on Friday.

Too few Americans can afford a hearing aid, and the US healthcare industry therefore needs to accelerate the work to establish a sales channel for over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids.

This was the message of US President Joe Biden's executive order on Friday, and is music to the ears of US company Eargo, which is one of the first firms to challenge the established hearing aid industry.
