EMA approves Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 booster shots

The European Medicines Agency recommends that immunocompromised people receive a third dose of one of the coronavirus vaccines, and states that a third Pfizer jab should be considered for all adults.

People with a significantly compromised immune system should receive a third dose – also called a booster shot – of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) states.

This should happen at least 28 days after the person has received their second jab.
