Neuromod launches device to help Danes living with tinnitus

The Irish medtech firm has partnered with Danish private clinic Specialklinikken Borgå to launch a tinnitus treatment, a multicomponent device, in Denmark.

Specialklinikken Borgå, a private clinic based in Skive, Denmark, has entered a partnership with Neuromod Devices to bring a new type of treatment for tinnitus to Danish patients, according to a joint press release.

The Lenire device consists of a pair of Bluetooth headphones and an intra-oral device dubbed Tonguetip. Together, the components use sounds to activate the auditory nerve and mild electrical stimulation of the tongue’s surface to reduce symptoms of the condition characterized by ringing in the ears, according to the Irish medtech firm.
