Long wait for IVDR implementation is over, putting an end to pandemic "wild west"

After prolonged debates on potential bottlenecking and supply issues, the EU’s long-awaited In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices Regulation comes into force on May 26.

The EU’s long-awaited In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices Regulation (IVDR) comes into force tomorrow, Thursday.

The regulation tightens requirements for firms, importers, and distributors of IVDs, which include testing diagnostics devices for pregnancies, blood sugar levels, HIV, Covid-19, and much more.
