Canon acquires Danish x-ray company NRT

To meet industry price pressure head-on, NRT has agreed to an acquisition by Japan-based group Canon Medical Systems. Under Japanese banners, NRT’s technology can fulfill its global potential, says the company’s CEO, Mogens Ravn.

X-ray machine developer NRT will soon be acquired by a large Japanese firm.

Management, including the company’s CEO of 21 years Mogens Ravn, have come to a deal with Canon Medical Systems, which has an annual revenue of around DKK 24bn (USD 3.6bn) and more than 11,000 employees.
